ABOUT US

We exist to inspire and equip people to love the king, live the kingdom, and seek the common good.

Who we are

We are a community of people inviting others to seek Jesus with us as we learn and follow God's word and apply it to our lives. As a community, we live our lives for God and for the good of others.

Our basic beliefs

Our faith is rooted in the historic creeds of the Christian Church. We affirm both the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds as true statements of our faith.

We affirm the Confessional Statement of The Gospel Coalition as a helpful statement of our theology, but you can also find our similar statement here.

Living our mission

Love the King

We were made to love. Our highest love was designed to be directed toward God - the King who created the universe and gives life to all. Yet, our downfall came when we disordered our loves. When we correctly order our loves, and place God first, we are given a greater capacity to love. We love bigger, purer, and more deeply when our first love is for God.

Live the Kingdom

The Kingdom is the realm in which God reigns. Jesus speaks often about the Kingdom of God. God's Kingdom is different than other kingdoms. It values the poor, the humble, and merciful. It's not composed of the wise and strong but the weak and foolish. When we live humbly, extend mercy to the broken or unloved and selflessly server the best interest of others, we live out the values of God's kingdom.

Seek the common good

Christians are not only called to live ethically moral lives. In living out the Kingdom, we are called to seek the good of others. We certainly extend toward those who are members of the household of faith. However, we are also called to extend it to the land and people where we reside. We are called to pray for our leaders and the land, to seek the good of the city, and to care for the poor and neglected. We cannot seek our own good alone. As we seek the common good, it extends the economy of God's Kingdom toward others.

WHAT WE VALUE

GOSPEL CENTRALITY

The Gospel is the central element in the Christian faith. It tells us salvation is a free gift by grace through faith - meaning we can be neither moralists nor relativists. This impacts the way I relate to God and others.

DEEP FORMATION

We want to deeply know God and increasingly be transformed into the image of Christ. This is cultivated through confession and repentance, and deep formative practices, such as discipleship, Bible study, prayer, and service.

SACRIFICIAL LIVING

Life in God is one of sacrifice. Daily we deny ourselves and follow Christ. Through this, we experience an outpouring of grace. It frees us to be generous, to serve, to live righteously and to seek the common good.
