WHAT TO EXPECT
Here's what a typical Sunday looks like
It will start with friendly faces.

A warm welcome
Someone will greet you at the door. We're a smaller church, so you won't get lost in the crowd — you'll feel noticed and welcomed from the moment you arrive.
Contemporary worship
We sing together as a church. The music is contemporary but not overwhelming — you're welcome to participate as much or as little as you like.
Biblical teaching
You'll hear sermons from the Bible in a way that's honest and accessible, and connected to everyday life. Yet, also deep and engaging with the text.
No pressure
We won't ask you to stand up, introduce yourself, or put money in an offering plate. Come, settle in, and just see what we're about.
Come as you are
There's no dress code. Jeans, a Sunday dress, whatever — you'll fit right in. We're more interested in you being there than what you're wearing.
Time to connect
After the service, people hang around and talk. It's a great chance to connect, laugh, and be encouraged by others around you.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Things people often wonder before their first visit
What time are your services and how long do they last?
Our Sunday service is typically about 75 minutes. We start at 10:30 am and wrap up around noon — leaving plenty of time to connect with people afterward if you'd like. They include a combination of song, prayer, Scripture readings and a sermon.
What about my kids?
We currently offer nursery for children ages 0-5. Kids are always welcome to join the service with their family and some families do. Children ages 6-10 are provided engaging materials and coloring sheets. Because we have several children this age at the church. We are also working to offer a separate Bible teaching during the sermon. If you have questions about what that looks like, feel free to reach out before you visit and we'll help you plan ahead. All volunteers undergo a background check and are themselves experienced parents in the church.
Will I be put on the spot?
Not at all! The last thing we want to do is make people feel uncomfortable or singled out. We won't ask first-time visitors to stand up, share anything personal, or introduce themselves to the room. You're welcome to simply observe, take it all in, and decide what you think. The only goal for your first visit is that you feel welcome.
Where exactly do I park and enter?
We meet at the Baxter Close YMCA at 857 Promenade Walk, Fort Mill, SC 29708. There's free parking in the YMCA lot right on site. Most people park on the south side of the building. Enter via the main entrances at the front of the building. Greeters will be out front to say hello and point you in the right direction.
Is there an offering? Do I have to give?
We do not officially receive an offering during the service. Generally, we mention that giving is available via online or a drop box in the back of the room. But, as a first-time guest, please don't feel any obligation to participate. You're our guest — we're just glad you came.
What kind of church is One Hope?
We're a non-denominational, gospel-centered community church. We're rooted in historic Christian faith — we take Scripture seriously, preach the gospel, and believe the church exists to love God, love people, and seek the common good of our city.
